The NCYPC’s main objective is to ensure that the youth voices of this region are heard on local, regional, and state levels, where decisions make a direct impact on our rural communities. By advocating for the needs and priorities of rural youth, we aim to create positive change that uplifts our region and fosters a sense of representation and fairness for all. Through increased representation and dedicated efforts, we can pave the way for a brighter future for Northern California and its youth.

Our goal is to highlight issues facing rural communities, engage future voters, organize annual advocacy days at the California State Capitol, and emphasize the voices and viewpoints of our rural youth who are an often-overlooked constituency in the state.

Any high school student (grades 9-12) who lives within one of the thirty Northern California counties is eligible to join.

If you want to make a difference in the lives of rural Northern California youth and advocate for issues that are the most important to rural youth, then you should join us in our mission to strive for more representation and opportunities for our rural youth.

Advocate for the perspectives of rural youth through direct legislative action, including introducing and supporting legislation at both a federal and state level.
Through recruitment of active high school students, we are going to form a grassroots coalition of dedicated high school students to highlight the perspectives of rural youth.
By actively engaging in our communities through organizing civic activities, we will increase the amount of young people who are actively involved in our communities.

Yes, the NCYPC is a nonpartisan coalition. We are dedicated to advocating for the issues important to rural youth regardless of party.
